Vanity Fair

It's Vixen time once again!!! With each and every Vixen by Micheline Pitt release I find myself adding more and more to my lust list and snapping up those essential pieces and prints. My wardrobe is becoming half Vixen and I'm mighty proud to wear such amazingly constructed pieces.

For this set I wanted to feature my three hottest must haves from the current collection featuring spider webs, roses, leopard and delicate polka dot mesh.

One of the most wanted and lusted after prints from Vixen this season is the stunning Spider Web and Roses design. Inspired by a vintage fabric and created on soft cotton/spandex stretch sateen. The fully lined and front fused bodice does wonders for your shape and really makes slims and pulls you in.

The Vanity Fair is the kind of style that will suit you no matter what size or shape you are as it flatters all body types. The neckline, fitted bodice and little boxy sleeves all come together to really make my body shape POP and I don't think I've ever felt this confident or comfortable in a short sleeve dress.

I'm wearing the 2XL, and the fit is amazing. Firm but comfortable, flattering and so soft. The element of stretch in the cotton/spandex/sateen really molds to your shape and I have plenty of room in the bust while still having this tight waist fit.

Now lets chat about print - isn't it amazing? Stunning warm pink roses and green leaves paired with delicate spider webs all on a solid black base. Visually stunning and perfectly designed.

Natasha Marie in Australia has plenty of stock for this specific style if you are looking for a great Vixen stockiest. You can also snap the Vanity Fair dress up at Vixen which has just been listed for round 2 preorder.

Oh Frenchie I'm crushing hard on you!

If you are looking for that perfect mixture of pinup and goth, the Frenchie Dress is for you. Featuring 1930s bishop sleeves, paired with a tie neck detailing and fused strapless bodice gathered swing skirt. The soft overlay of dotted mesh is absolutely divine and helps cover up any arm issues while sitting perfectly mid forearm.

I'm wearing this style in a 2XL and it's actually very stretchy as the ponte has lost of give. I originally wondered if I should size down due to the forgiving fabric but as the mesh is rather delicate it's better to stay with your standard size. You don't want to apply too much pressure to it and have a rip.

Such a classic and classy little black dress perfect for wearing all year round. I wore this as part of a dark Queen of Hearts look at the opening of the Wonderland Exhibition and it looks absolutely amazing.

Style for summer or winter with ease. Strappy heels and lots of roses in the warmer months and gloves, berets, stockings and boots in the winter. This style is also available in a wiggle if you'd rather a more form fitting shape.

Inspired but Micheline's own styling I've paired this look with a wide brim black sunhat and red roses. But I also love this dress when paired with gloves and red, black or grey berets.

I don't personally own this style but I've seen amazing curves rock the wiggle and my favorite plus model, Hunter McGrady was recently seen looking super hot in this dress. I'm sure Hunter is wearing a 2XL and how hot does she look?

Lastly, we have the ever so popular Sweetheart Dress in Wilde Leopard. You may remember me featuring the black and white striped version of this dress in previous Vixen posts. This style is amazing on all figures as the sweetheart neckline does wonders for boobies. Fully lined in the bodice and front fused like the Vanity Fair dress this style has a similar fit but with adjustable straps apposed to sleeves.

I'm wearing the 2XL and it's a firm and very fitted style. It fits slightly tighter than my stripped version but I'm not too sure if this is slightly different fabric. I can wear this with or without a bra which is amazing! Micheline always creates magical styles that hold the twins up!

This leopard print is absolutely stunning as well. A lot of the time you can get leopard that's too bright, oddly spotted or poorly drawn but this fabric is perfection.

As I'm not 100% confident with strappy dresses, I paired this with my beloved Velvet Wrap Top in Black. I just adore how versatile this wrap top is as you can wear it on it's own or in this style as a cardigan. It also pairs perfectly with the Leopard fabric and the Spider Webs. The addition of a velvet wrap makes this style able to be worn each and every season. I own both the black and blue velvet wrap tops and I must get any future colours as they are so very versatile, warm and a joy to wear.

Every single dress featured in this post has huge pockets that you'll fall in love with! Big enough to fit the largest iPhones on the market and more.

If you are Australian or NZ based the Natasha Marie clothing is your best store for Vixen goodies but if you are over the other side of the pond be sure to snap up these garments directly from Vixen by Micheline Pitt's website. Links below:

With stockists locally like Natasha Marie we have the ability to snap up some items that have already sold out on the Vixen webstore. So every time I post about Vixen I'll be sure to share links for both websites.

Many thanks to Damien Bowerman for capturing these stunning pieces perfectly!

The Unholy Trinity

Earlier this year I feel in love with La Femme En Noir when I slipped into the stunning maxi wrap dress. The quality and fit made my heart melt, and I knew that a life long addiction had just begun.

When the previews for the La Femme swimwear collection were released, I was blown away with the styles, cuts and amazing designs as they offer more coverage yet focus on flattering your shape. For today's post I wanted to share 3 core pieces that can take you from the pool to bar with ease and really suit curvy plus sized girls.

For this set of images I had to ditch my beloved corset and show my natural shape. It's actually rather confronting as I've been corseting for so long but I'm loving the feel of wearing these pieces and loving the look. Be proud of your body be it natural or corseted. I rock both!

The Trinity Top gives me LIFE!! Micheline and Lynh the two amazing designers behind this label have perfected a range of gothic swimwear that flatters all body shapes, gives you lift and can be worn in or out of the water.

I'm wearing both pieces in a size 2XL and the fit is perfection but then again I expected nothing less from La Femme En Noir. Created to flatter, flatten and shape you in all the right ways the trinity top is perfect for super busty girls as the crop style holds the twins up with ease and the lace up front shows a little bit of skin. I absolutely adore the 3/4 length sleeve and I can't wait to wear more styles like this in the summer as I've always dreamt of a full arm coverage swimsuit.

The Lilith Capri pants are possibly the best fitting high waisted legging style pant I've ever had. The fabric is lined, and a special layer has been added around the front to help smooth out any tummy issues. The are firm at the leg which I love but stretchy enough to comfortably fit the hips and waist.

Now I shot this in the middle of winter and I was crazy enough to jump in the pool! The capri fabric and coverage actually helped me from freezing 100% so I can't wait to try these in the warmer months. I'll be wearing these both in and out of the pool as they are perfect for walking. If you are looking for a more traditional swimsuit bottom, you can pair the top with the Trinity Side Lace High Waisted Swim Bikini Bottom which create a super sexy shape.

The great thing about these swim pieces is the fact that you can wear each piece outside of the pool! Once you dry off pair the stunning trinity top with my all time favourite piece - the Southern Gothic Skirt and a pair of heels and you are set for the night!

I'm wearing the amazing Southern Gothic skirt in a size 2XL and the fit of both the under shorts and the waist band are spot on with room to move. This skirtis a really unique and amazing piece. It features an amazing spider web motif over the skirt with a stretch ponte pair of shorts beneath. This ingenious creation means you get a perfect swing skirt fit with an extra layer to create a romper or just show off that amazing lace detailing.

The styling options for this skirt are endless as well and you can adapt the look for each and every season.Pairingthis with light weight summer tops and a strappypair of hells for the hot months, slipping a petticoat over the short for a full solid blacklook or a choosing a bright pop of colour to make that pattern really pop.

In winter this piece looks amazing when paired with knee high boots and you can also wear brightcoloured stockings under the shorts for a little bit of fun. Each look was paired with my absolute favourite heels from Shoe Me and my Nightmare Nails which really fit with the plus size the Vampira vibes.

My glasses are actually a faux pair of prop sunglasses from a costume shop but La Femme En Noir havecreated the perfect Batwing styles in both black and oxblood.

The black are currently back in stock and the Oxblood version will be back on August the 24th. I think I'll order the black ASAP as I need them and that stunning coffin case. Be on the look out for a Vampira style due to arrive later this year as well. This shoot was absolutely amazing, and I have to thank the amazing Damien Bowerman for working with me on this supercold day, for not thinking I'm completely crazy for swimming in winter and for letting me sneak a fax skeleton into the set. The results are exactly what I wanted, and I'm going to love these forever!

Honey it's Haute

I have so many core pieces in my wardrobe but then it comes to amazing tops and bases for each and every look I have to say that my go to pieces arealways Heart of Haute. With an almost lifelong addiction to this label I've become an expert on fitting my body perfectly into their creations and I can't get enough of these pieces

Haute Circle Skirt - Buffalo Gingham in Red

Winter calls for long sleeves and the Joana top in black is a versatile and stunning piece. A faux wrap blouse in a super stretchy fabric that molds to your shape and makes your cleavage the center of attention in the best kind of way.

I'm wearing this style is a 1XL and I find this too large for me. My large chest and other measurements are more of an XL as it's a really forgiving and stretchy fabric. The faux wrap feature also offers more room around the best as it's a very deep v.

Finally, I have my all time favourite top for work in basic black. But Lily is anything but basic! Featuring a square not closing collar which fits perfectly over a larger chest. Lily is a great high neckline for busty girls, that compliment our shape instead of emphasizing or over covering.

The 3/4 length sleeves also flatter your arms and offers just the right amount of skin. I'm wearing this style in a 1XL, and the fit is perfect with this top. The stretch factor is the same as the Joanna but the fit is more true to size.

I'm loving full red looks at them moment with a hint of contrasting colour. The Marilyn tee is the perfect match and pop of bright lime with this ruby red outfit. This outfit instantly cheers me up and is a bright and cute change from my usual all black winter uniform.

I'm not confident enough to wear the Marilyn without a cardigan at the moment but the high neckline and lack of sleeves make this style great for layering be it under cardigans, shirts or dresses.  I've paired this little lime number with my red sweet sweater and buffalo plaid skirt but you can wear this with just about anything. The off the shoulder fit and curve hugging fabric make it a very simple yet sexy style.

You can snap this style up in black, red, grey and navy without sleeves here or a long sleeve version named the Monroe Top in a variety of colours. I'm super keen to shoot/review some of the Monroe's as they will be perfect for spring/summer in Australia! I also wear my sweet sweaters in XL as they are so stretchy.

Rayleine Wrap Dress in Whisper - $119.00

Oh Rayleine you have my heart always. The Rayleine wrap dress is a curvy girls best friend. Earlier this year I shot and reviewed this style in the Rose Noir print and I was instantly in love. My rose print wrap is a size 1XL but as I was unsure of the fabric I opted to go for a 2XL and the fit is actually spot on. With the rose fabric which is very lightweight and flowing I found the 1XL to be a perfect fit but pale green Whisper fabricis a firmer cotton (100% to be precise.) has a little less give so the 2XLwas a good choice. Being a wrap style, you can adjust the fit to accommodate your measurements. I wanted a more fitted waist and roomier bust and the wrap accommodates that with absolute ease.

I'm not usually a fan of such pale prints but the whisper floral print was so soft and perfect it had to be mine!Thissoft shade of green pairs perfectly with all of my sweet sweaters and other cardigans and I can't wait to wear this all round.

Many thanks to the brilliant Damien Bowerman for shooting these pieces perfectly. I can't wait to plan our next shoot!

Down Memory Lane

Erstwilder are tugging on our heart strings this month with a nostalgia-inducing, vintage-inspired toys collection called 'Down Memory Lane'. This set of brooches, earrings and a necklace feature all of those piece we adored as children.

Prepare to meet the sweetest robot ever created. Nuts and Bolts is an adorable blue robot made from a mixture of solid and glitter resins. Much like the tin man this little fella has a whole lotta heart. The focus on all those perfect little features is what makes this collection absolutely stunning and this fella has already sold out via Erstwilder's store.

What do you wear to pair perfectly with this little robot? Bonsai Kitten of course! I'm forever fawning over the new arrivals section of their webstore and when I found the Candy top in red and black it had to be mine. Such a curve hugging and flattering shape for an hourglass figure.

Made of a super stretchy fabric which is perfect for all year round wear. With a contrast neck trim and front bow your best assets will look absolutely amazing as this style shows a perfect amount of cleavage.

I'm wearing a size 16 and it fits me like a glove. The soft fabric is a joy to wear and I honestly can't wait to wear this like crazy.

I'm so very in love with the fit of the Candy top and will be snapping up the black and white version as well as the nautical stripe colourway. When you find that perfect top, it's impossible not to own every single version of it.

I've been dreaming of a jack in the box brooch for many years, and Erswilder has finally created the perfect version of this amazing little toy. More glitter and all the bright colours in this piece make my heart sing.

No need to be scared by this little clown as he's not planning on giving you a shock but I dare you to look at little jack and not start singing the music!

As Cranky Jack is full of bright colours, I wanted to pair him with a bold stripe to help him really stand out. The Geek Girl top in green was the perfect choice as it features a contrast collard neckline and tie. The perfect psychobilly twist on a classic pinup blouse and trust me this top is absolutely dreamy in person.

This style is also a size 16 and the fit of this fabric is a little firmer but still a joy to wear. I love pairing Bonsai kittens with work or casual looks as they are so versatile and comfortable.

Trundling Tail Wagger Brooch - $39.95

From the moment you lay eyes up on this little wooden pooch you'll be in love! A classic chase along toy with the sweetest of features in glitter and solid resin. The use of red and yellow make this piece iconic and sure to be your best friend for many years to come.

The pointy little nose, bright red wheels and those ears flying in the wind make this little tail wager one of the cutest canines I've ever snapped up from Erstwilder. I love the way his solid black body pairs with both coloured tops and simple black as it actually makes his features pop even more.

Many thanks to my amazing husband for taking these shots and to my girl Liz for doing all of the post work.

Jubly Speaks the Truth!

It's clear that I have a few fashion addictions. From motos to berets, baseball raglans to enamel pins. I find it rare that I can tick off two of my most lusted after items via one shop but my loves at Jubly Umph are currently rocking my socks off with lots of new pins and their new raglan tops!

Adulting Lapel Pin - $16.95 AUD

If I've ever needed, a pep up all I have to dois add a Jubly pin to my lapel as they remind me to basically go out there and kick butt! This collectionreally speaks to me giving us awards for doing the things that get us through each and every day.

The big, bold and blue Adulting pin is a must for every daywear and livesperminitely on my go to moto.Keeping it together and staying badass must be worn as a pair on those day's when you need that extra kick of awesomeness.

These pins are a really great size, and the glitter really makes them pop, created to look like the awards we received and loved as a child. You're never too old you wear some brilliant badass pins daily.

Now I can't go past the whole pin section at Jubly Umph and for this shoot I wanted to show off two that I've been lusting after and finally have. These little pieces rock my world and I just love the very cute yet cheeky vibes they give off be it an insult or a description of myself. The lastly a super sweet motto to live your life by - kindness is easy.

Now you can wear these pieces on their own or grouped as I love to do. I cover the lapels of my motos with bright, funky and cheeky pins and I can't wait to see what more Jubly Umph have in store for us in the future! For this shoot I actually popped them on my new raglans and I'm loving the look.

Don't Be A Prick Raglan - 3/4 Sleeve T-Shirt - $47.95 AUD
Fuck Off Raglan - 3/4 Sleeve T-Shirt - $47.95 AUD

I may have lost count of the amount of raglans I own but I absolutely cherish and adore each. So when Jubly Umph released their most beloved images on my go to style tee I had to snap up 2.

Now fit wise I've learnt what size fit's best in most brands of printable tees. After many years of collecting band tees and different styles all I needed to do was check the label and try on another version from my collection. I opted for a size large for all 3 pieces as I love the fit of all of my tops from this standard raglans in this printer loved brand.

The large fit is super long and I love the fit on my bust and waist. My husband also wears the size large and now we can swap styles! These are unisex tees so if you are a band tee and raglan collector like myself you can go with the size you usually wear.

They have a mixture of colour choices so I chose one basic black white and one reverse black and white. With this baseball raglan there are prints in the pocket/logo style and some like their Stay Weird logo or any of their larger scale images.

I can't get enough of these tops and I'll be collecting all of them over time!

Bravo Brava

I'm forever getting questions about the best bra's for larger cup sizes and even when I'm fully clothed people just need to know what gives me the best shape. My absolute favourite place to shop up a storm for all of my bras is Brava! They are Australia's larger cup specialists and I've been a loyal lover of their online website and stores for many years.

For this shoot/review I've gone for 3 completely different styles as my cup size has changed. I'll be covering a strapless, a white every day style and a super sexy sheer black number. Featuring my absolute favoruite - Ewa Michalak and a new brand for me - Goddess! All styles are paired with a selection of robes and my beloved Underbust Black Leather Longline Corset from Orchard Corsety.

Two of these styles were purchased in store with the help of the Highpoint Brava fitting specialists and one was ordered via the website. The results are a great fit for all of these speficic bras but each is a different size. It's all about fit and with the difference in cups, support and fabric a different cup or back is needed.

When I was fitted recently I was given a variety of prints, colours and styles but I really did not take notice of the Bibi BM bra at first. I've never purchased a white bra so I though I'd try it on but who knows if it will work for me. Well from the moment I slipped into this lacey white number I was sold. I popped my head out of the change room and flashed the girls saying 'yep this is the ONE' as the Bibi is a silky form of perfection.

I'm wearing a size 16J and the fit is larger in the cup (I'm a HH usually) Because there is no padding or molding on the cup. This however does not stop it from giving me that iconic Ewa Michalak Fit. I've been so use to padded cups so I've never really tried a stretch less molded shape until now and I'm officially a convert.

This has to be one of the most amazingly comfortable bra's in my collection. The white stretch fabric and lace perfectly holds me while the thick strap holds me in and pulls me up.  I feel like I'm super late to the Bibi BM party so I'll be needing to make up for lost time and order more colours and prints!

I actually went in to the store looking to purchase a nude Curvy Kate strapless bra but it seems my size was sold out so I tried a few other strapless styles and feel in love with the retro almost bullet bra look of the Adelaide Strapless Bra in black.

It's always daunting to shop for a strapless style when your large chested as you think everything will roll down, not support well or just look horrible. But From the moment I put the Goddess Adelaide on I knew it had to be mine. The larger cup may not sit flat between my bust but the lift, shape and very retro feel of this piece made me want it for both strapless looks and lingerie shoots.

I usually would go for the tried and tested (and reviewed personally) Curvy Kate Luxe style but I really love this style visually as a fashion bra. I'm wearing the 16H and it's amazingly comfortable for a strapless plus with or without straps the style really rocks visually.

Now the firs two styles shown in this post were snapped up in store but this amazing piece was an instant online purchase as I was terribly impatient and wanted to get it before it sold out!

My love for Ewa bra's is very strong and they are taking over my collection because they look and feel amazing.  The Fetysz Czarny SMN bra is a very unique cage bra style. A new twist on the cage theme with a sheer tulle base and adjustable round straps around the breast.

These simple yet bold little straps create amazing shape and contrast and when worn correctly make that iconic Ewa Michalak round shape we all lust after.  I've noticed some uploaded images on social media have the straps worn incorrectly so be sure to check here or the product shots for the right way.

I ordered my most comfortable and correct size 16HH as the sheer fabric would not hide anything if it was not fitted correctly and the fit is PERFECTION!

I'm absolutely in love with this very sexy and strong style and I can't stop wearing it! It's great for the bedroom or as a fashion style popping out of lower necklines or under sheer blouses
With some fun pasties to hide the headlights ;)

One other brilliant feature of this bra is the strap lock. An invention I’ve never seen before where you can adjust your straps to the perfect place and lock them in – they don’t move!!!! Such a brilliant concept. So if you are in need of a new bra wardrobe update I can and will always recommend Brava for all of your lifting needs. Be it instore or online the friendly staff are able to help you get the right fit.

With that spooky time of year right around the corner it's time to get planning. For my latest shoe review I went with a  Wizard of Oz Vibe with a few simple styling ideas.

It's amazing what two pairs of printed stockings can create. For a Dorothy inspired look pair a black and white stripped full stocking with the amazing Sabrina-07 in red. These ruby slippers will evoke the perfect Dorothy vibe and the colour clash will really pop when paired with a blue gingham Dorothy costume. A little more quirky and cute than your usual boring costume stockings.

The Sabrina features a 4 Inch (90mm) Block Heel Mary Jane Pump so it's a wear all day style heal with a great comfy solid base.Perfect for dress up parties or every day pops of colour and sparkle.

I'm looking for cute casual looks to pair with these and wit such a comfortable fit I'll be needing these in black as well.

Now for a darker look with the evil Wicked Witch of the West. Originally the witch was wearing the stockings we paired with the ruby slipper but for this photo shoot we've styled these amazing gothic boots with bold red and black stockings.

Featuring a 2 3/4 Inch (70mm) Kitten Heel  Ankle Boot Featuring Multiple Ornamental Straps and Bat Buckle Details and Front Zip Closure. The bold buckles and bats, with stunning silver hardware make these a perfect witchy boot.  The pointed to also screams wicked witch and when styled with any gothic look these look amazing. But they also rock when simply styled with a black skinny leg jean and band tee.

The kitten heel also offers all day comfort so you can wear either look and not have to worry about sore feet at the end of your dress up evening. Now I have to figure out if I'm more of a Dorothy or a Wicked Witch.

Erstwilder's latest release takes us to the deserts, tropical rain forests and vast savannas of Africa. The stunning Out Of Africa range features some of your absolute favourite African animals created in brooch, earring and necklace form.

This collection has created some of my absolute favourite brooches to date as they've created some of the cutest little critters.

When I first saw the Out of Africa range, I gravitated to so many different animals but after growing up on films such as The Lion King  a Warthog was top of my list.

This adorable young warthog reminds me of Pummba, and I'll be signing Hakuna Matata whenever I wear him as the creators of this brooch state - he's renowned for such a philosophy.

Again Erstwilder are rocking those adorable long lashes and look at that snout! It's so cute you just want to tickle it!

Zebra stripes have been a part of my wardrobe for many years so it's only logical that I also need a Zesty Zebra to add to my stripped collection.

What I love most about this piece is the unique design. For zebras or horses the mane is usually 100% attached to the head and sometimes gets rather lost in the resin or design. But the spare space between the two in this brooch really makes it pop.

Now I've paired these with a bold leopard print but when you wear this piece with solid colours it's even bolder and stronger.

I'm forever as sucker for a fox brooch and the Fennec Fox is one of my absolute most loved animals on earth. Those huge ears, soft pale fur and sweet little peepers make me swoon and I've always loved this little creature.

The little upside down heart feature around the nose and mouth is a super sweet feature and just look at those whiskers.

Erstwilder have created the perfect version of the Fennec Fox with Finnicky and I'll be wearing this piece non stop.

Plus for the entire month of August they will be donating $2 from the sale of every design within to the African Wildlife Foundation! Reasons like these plus many more are why I absolutely adore the team at Erstwilder HQ.

One of my favourite local stores in Australia has to be inspired instantly! They always stock a variety of brilliant Hell Bunny garments, cardigans and all of those core pieces you need to complete a perfect pinup look.

So for this post I'm focusing on some of the items I've recently snapped up from their webstore featuring prints a plenty and some adorable colours.

I'm a huge fan of all things Hell Bunny but over the years I've never managed to model or review any tops so obviously this had to be rectified.

For my first ever HB top review I've gone for the adorable Aggy Blouse with the retro scotty dog print. Now this piece is the perfect retro top for work or play as it has a relaxed fit, a short cuffed sleeve and the sweetest puppy print I've ever seen.

A mixture of pink, cream and black the Aggy blouse is simple to style and looks amazing with anything from high waisted jeans to a wiggle skirt. I'm wearing this style in a 2XL and the fit is perfect as it's roomy enough for my bust with limited stretch in the fabric.

Even though I'm a true crazy cat lady I have a soft spot for puppers as well and this print is going to be on weekly rotation for work.

Ever since I shot and wore my gingham mini dress I've been hunting for another print to add to my collection a the Sailor Girl mini has been found. Featuring an amazing framed sailor lass portrait giving us another spin on the classic nautical vibe.

A pale blue slightly stretchy cotton with amazing black accents, buttons and print, a smocked back and fully adjustable straps so you can customize the fit that fits you best.

I'm wearing this in a 2XL and it fits just like my gingham version. I can't wait until the wear warms up so I can wear this all summer long!  Now please note that this style is a mini so it will sit just above your knees so it's not a super mini and perfect for warmer weather.

My original plan was to pair this with a solid black MAK sweater but I mixed up my choices and I love the results. I'm wearing the red cropped cardigan in a size 1XL and I'm so smitten with these cardigans. I can easily go down to the size XL as the stretch makes this one a little loose but I just love the softness, length and feel of these amazing cover ups. I foresee a full collection happening!

HELL BUNNY Red/Black Dot 50's Dress - SOLD OUT

This dress has been on my lust list for many years and I was lucky enough to snap one up before they sold out! Hell Bunny's classic 50's halter neck dress with a full swing skirt in a lush white and black polka dot print. Being a huge fan of all things dot related I just adore a classic print when paired with the ruby red buttons and piping make this style absolutely dreamy.

Like the Sailor Girl dress this style has a panel of sheering at the back to insure the best fit at your bust and waist plus the halter style is able to be worn high or low.

I'm wearing the 2XL and the fit is firm but really flattering and I just adore how the bust line pops when I pair this with red cardigans and wraps. The midi length skirt also offers lots of leg coverage and heaps of fabric to twirl.

Paired with the black version of my MAK cropped cardigan for that perfect sleek pinup look with a little touch of my gothic roots.

More Lyra

When youfind a figure flattering, curve embracing, amazingly stunning dress like the Lyra you will find yourself ordering each and every version ever released. Or if you're like me, you might even hunt the internet wide to see if you can snap up any other versions that may exist! The addiction is real and this dress is a must have the item all year round.

From summer to winter I wear my Lyra's. Pairing them with a strappy pair of heels or flats in the summer as the slowing sleeve covers my arms while still being lightweight enough to keep me cool. In winter it's the perfect base to layer with chunky retro belts, long cardigans, tights, leather boots and trench coats.

The Lyra is a faux wrap dress with a flowing capped sleeve, waist tie or back tie and a full skirt. The mixture of a 96% Polyester / 4% Elastine fabric helps this dress skim over you hips and hang beautifully while really hugging your waist and bust.

I'm wearing my usual size 16 and the fit is as per usual - PERFECTION!

Sadly I missed out on being able link you to this stunning floral print but never fear as there is a selection of amazing prints and solids you can check out both the plus and standard section of the Lady V London website.

As I wear a size 16 in this dress I can shop both sections and if you are a busy size 18 be sure to size down to the 16 as it will be a perfect fit.

I think I need to snap up some more florals and that amazing watermelon print!

Elements Rainwear

Over the last few winters I've noticed lots of pinups sporting some amazing rainwear. Being from soggy old Melbourne there is a huge need for stylish, vintage inspired raincoats that actually compliment your figure apposed to hiding it.

Elements Rainwear have answered our prayers with a huge selection of coats in retro and modern style coats, hats, umbrellas and more. If it's going to product you for the rain and wind Elements Rainwear have got you covered.

Ruby Raincoat - £51.01

With my figure and own personal style I wanted to pick a jacket that would hug my curves and protect my hair - the important things yes?

So after window shopping on the amazing webstore I ordered the Ruby Raincoat in the NAG2 clear PVC with black polka dots. I've always wanted a clear raincoat and the addition of polka dots won me over instantly.

Size wise I went to the fit gods (Elements Rainwear customer service) and we chatted about my measurements and what would fit me best. The size I ended up going with was a 3XL so be sure to check the size chart and add 3 or 4 inches to your actual measurements if you will be wearing this style with many layers.

When Ruby arrived I was blown away with the stunning clear PVC and instantly tried it on over my skater dress. The 3XL is a very firm fit on arms (an inch or two more in the upper arm would be perfect) but perfect for my waist. I tend not to button up any coats over my chest so this style is perfect for me - always need to show a cheeky bit of boobie! The coat is fully shaped to the waist with a flowing skirt, open placket, button down detail, side pockets, matching belt, 7 stainless post poppers and a drawstring hood. I also ordered the PVC belt in black to pair with this coat but as soon as I wore it I knew I loved the coat without.

As you can see from the images we took this piece is retro perfection and due to the polka dot print so many colours pop beneath it. For this photo shoot I wanted to add a little pop off colour so I paired the Ruby with a Dangerfield flamingo border dress and it really pops with when mixed with this clear PVC fabric.

Not a fan of clear coats? Well most styles have a huge selection of colour and sheerness options so you can find the perfect colour for any outfit. Just look at all the choices!

What I love most about Elements Rainwear is the brilliant selection of coats be I short or long. You can pick the perfect bright mod coat or a classic trench. Choose a more modern look or go full retro and if you love a style but don't want to over do it then order it once again in another colour!

After testing the fit of the Ruby I think I'll be sticking to this specific style and ordering one or two more colours in the future. I'm smitten with the GRT1 dark green shade and the Pink or Black based solid polka dots are just too adorable - you can never have too many polka do goodies in your wardrobe.

Avast Ye!

My official countdown to Halloween is on! Yes, I know it's early, but I absolutely adore this time of year and wish to celebrate the spooky season 365 days year. So over the September and October, you'll be seeing lots of spooky themed posts and costume shoots.Helpingyouget the perfect look for all of your Halloween events, parties and if youare anything like me goodies for your collection all year round.

My go to store for costumes in Australia is Costume Box! They have a huge range of stunningcostumes and all of the best accessories on the market. From wigs to shoes, stunningcostumes and accessories you can find all those little pieces to perfect your look.

For this shoot I went for a full Pirate  theme complete with parrot! I'm wearing the amazing Plus Pirate Wench costume in a size 1XL. This super stretchy fabric is very forgiving and will fit a 16/18 with ease. The full outfit is a off the shoulder ruffled blouse dress with a black bodice and red and black striped skirt. The gathered sleeves offer that billowing effect you can opt to wear the sleeves up or down.

The rich red and black stripes really pop and while this look does come with a fabric corset I opted to pair a more bold silver d-ring belt with this look. The skirt featured a jagged edge to add that extra level pirate style and I just adore the fit.

The last item included in the costume set is a matching red and black striped head scarf witch is hidden under my hat and proved to be the best way to keep my fringe hidden when wearing the tricorn hat. It's not often I go fringeless for a photo shoot but I love the look of this style of hat so I had to.

The Tricorn Pirate Hat with Red Lace Trim is absolutely fab I think I clearly have a thing for this specific style as I've used two different versions of this hat in the past year!

But for this lookI did not limit myself to just a pirate hat. No, I needed a few awesome weapons to complete the evil pirate theme.Ichose a brown and goldfakepirate pistol (clearly I have no idea how to use it lol) and all my time favourite piece the Skeleton Cutlass!

This magnificent plastic sword features skeletons, skulls and chains. The red, silver and black accents pair perfectly with my look and I just adore how bold and big this piece is. While some of these pieces have sold out there are many more in stock that will work just as brilliantly.

As you can also see I even added a little parrot to my outfit as every pirate needs a trusty parrot! This little fella is adorable and will now be a feature with all my skeletons and silly goodies in my lounge room.  He's that cute he took over my portraits as you can see!

What I love most about Costume Box has to be the endless supply of themed goodies that help you create the whole look. I can't wait to get more styles and share more themes with you guys over the next 2 months!

Bardot

For months I've been impatiently waiting for two Micheline Pitt releases from her own brand and Unique Vintage. A range full of gingham, soft lace detailing, polka dots and much more.

The Bardot range (Vixen) the Unique Vintage collaboration pieces are absolutely dreamy with the fit we've all come to know and love and amazing fabric/print choices. I snapped up my  favourite pieces from these ranges as I can't say no to a black and white gingham print or some bold polka dots.

When we were blessed with the BTS shots of the stunning Renee Olsen  in a selection of the Bardot pieces Vixen's all around the globe went crazy. There is something so sweet yet sexy about a gingham print and the Bardot Beauty dress is absolutely magical.
The ultimate peasant dress with a  fully lined and front fused bodice (gives the twins support with or without a bra) adjustable sleeves and the sweetest cotton eyelet trim and black bow features. Plus those giant pockets we always expect from all of Micheline's swing designs.
I'm wearing the Bardot Beauty in a size 2XL and the fit is superb. The fabric a cotton/spandex/stretch sateen mixture holds you in firmly but the fabric gives a little once you've worn it for a few hours. The fabric choice gives great shape both on the bodice and the skirt and there is no real need for a petticoat as it naturally has this shape.
What I love most about all Micheline's designs are the skirt lengths and the attention to fit at the waist and bust. Every item I've ever worn or purchased from her shop have fit me like a glove and really flatter my shape.
Now as I mentioned at the sleeves of this dress are fully adjustable so you can wear them up as shown in these images or off the shoulder to create a smoldering look. I can do either with ease but I also love the neckline so I've opted to wear them up.

I've been avoiding summer style playsuits for a while now as many moons a go I hurt my knee and visually they've never really recovered. So most of my playsuit styling has been based around winter so I can hide those knobby knees under warm thick tights.

But when the Pink Palace playsuit was released I knew I had to be brave and snap it up. I feel in love with the pink version of this last season and how easily was styled with skirts to create a whole new look.

As soon as I slipped into this amazing little number all my fears vanished and I was instantly in love with the fit. Soft, stretchy and form fitting when you need it the most. I'm wearing this in a 2XL and the fabric is so comfortable you'd think you are in your PJ's!

After falling in love with the fit of the playsuit I knew the Hissy Fit top was a must have. This style is exactly the same fit as the bodice of the playsuit and creates the most sexy shape while still being covered up.
Available in black, white and hunter green each shade looks amazing when paired with skirts or any high waisted bottoms. The length of this top his mid tummy so it's not a super long blouse but it tucks perfectly into my skater skirt as seen here.

I'm wearing a 2XL and it's stretchy yet firm while the thickness of the fabric hugs my curves instead of hiding them. I opted to get the black version first but now it's obvious I need every colour! What I love most about this style is how well it suits all bust shapes. I've seen all bust sizes wear this top over social media and absolutely everyone rocks it.
This is merely a smidgen of the amazing selection of all things Vixen and UV+Micheline Pitt's collaboration at Natasha Marie Clothing so swing buy and buy lots of stunning goodies. This stockiest is my go to shop for all of Micheline's creations.

Thank you to my girl Brooke Orchard for taking these images of me and for knowing all the best spots locally to pair with the cutest of outfits.

The Darkest Hour

When I fist laid eyes on this stunning horned headpiece from Cherri Lane I knew I had to add it to my Restyle headband collection. Restyle create affordable and stunning headpieces that compliment any dark or creative wardrobe.

These have just sold out but more styles available via Cherri Lane's webstore. What I love most about Restyle's range of headwear has to be the focus on all things blacker than black. Always sleek, lightweight and really comfortable to wear plus the option of flowers or just horns or antlers means you can create multiple looks or themes.

Hell Bunny Draco Blouse -  $89.99
Restyle Horns - Cherri Lane

The obvious choice when pairing clothing with this stunning accessory had to be two of my favourite more gothic themed pieces from Hell Bunny. The Draco Blouse is a Victorian dream with a high neckline, sheer flowing cape like sleeves and a fitted waist.

I'm wearing this style in a 2XL and the fit is perfect for my bust and waist. With a higher neckline I tend to be rather worried about fit but this style really does fit comfortably and has a tiny amount of stretch. The cape style sleeve also offers extra room if you have fit issues with your upper arms in other garments.

Such a bold and strong shaped blouse I can't wait to pair this with plain wiggles and swings over winter and my other Hell Bunny Coats for a full winter Goth look.

Just look at the flowing fabric of this stunning cape. It's those little details that will have you swooning over this blouse.

Shonna Coat in Red  - From my collection

Oh Onyx I think I love you! The Onyx dress although simple is sexy, fits like a dream in a 2XL and really shows off  my favourite features. A mini style which covers my toosh with room to spare features layers of sheer black fabric with a solid stretchy underdress.

Now lets focus on the top section of this flirty little frock! The lace up detailing at the bust and those flowing sleeves make this garment unbelievably flattering and able to be styled all year round. Wear as is in the summer and layered  with tights, coats and boots in the winter. The lacing on the bust accommodates my large chest with ease and can be loosened or tightened to your shape. The sleeve is a layered flowing mid upper arm style that covers you nicely while still having that ethereal gothic feel.

What better to pair this dress with other than simple black tights. My main go to pairs are Sonsee as I love how durable, soft and stretchy they are. These are keeping my pins warm all winter and I'm obsessed.

I've chosen to pair this with my favourite Hell Bunny coat the Shonna in a deep maroon/red. The faux fur and dark shade of red really look amazing with the bust of this dress. When we shot it was so cold I absolutely forgot to get a full length shot of the dress itself but Hell Bunny have your sorted with shots on both straight and plus sized models.

Many thanks to Liz Fleming for Capturing these looks perfectly!

It's the most wonderfully spooky time of year! Today Erstwilder have released their latest spooky Halloween themed range 'A Haunting We Will Go' designed my love Donna Mizzi! A collection full of creepy critters, iconic spooky imagery and much, much more. I'm super excited to be able to share my 3 favourites from this collection which was released to die hard fans locally in Melbourne over the weekend ant Erstwilder's Halloween Party!

With every kooky and spooky release, I've usually chosen animals or ghosts but the moment I laid eyes on this Bandaged Beauty I had to add her to my collection. I've always loved the iconic bandaged look the traditional Mummy costume but Donna has put a femme swing on this costume and created one curvy cutie!

Here she is, Miss Halloween! Oh what style, oh what grace. Oh what shame we can’t see her face. This Halloween beauty queen is super curvy and has given me all kinds of costume inspo for upcoming events! Just look at that hourglass shame - damn girl, who knew bandages could be so flattering?

My favourite little detail on this brooch has to be her ruby red heels. While lots of Halloween brooches are bold and bright, this beauty queen kills it in white and red.

Tombstones and Sandworms - oh my! Taking inspiration from the underworld, this headstone is absolutely rocking. Bringing back the dead for one night only and having a ball on All Hallows Eve.

Created with the perfect Halloween shade of purple on a textured reflective stone base and all wrapped up with a sandworm. I just love the way the worm coils around the headstone and those little red peepers.

What I love most about my choices from this collection and the previous years releases is the fact that you can group all the pieces onto your dress, blouse or coat. They work perfectly together, and you can create little horror stories with each outfit.

This is my first Werewolf brooch and definitely not my last. Talbot the Terror is an adorable little critter with the best brows and under bite in the biz.

Featuring bight pops of purple, green, red and yellow this piece really draws attention in the best kind of way. I just love the way they have used jagged edges to replicate hair as it gives Talbot a super cute vibe.  The green backing/base also makes him pop if you choose to pair him with solid black dresses or jackets like I've chosen to do.

I've paired these amazing pieces with the Ricci Dress from Hell Bunny (which I'll be fully reviewing over the next few weeks) and spider web contacts from Costume Box. Simple, creepy and so very me.

This is just a sampling of the full range and you can purchase every single piece right now via Erstwilder's Website - CLICK ME!

The Midas Touch

It's beauty review time once again! I'm forever trying new and exciting products to keep my skin as youthful as possible and I'm super excited to be able to share my experiences and results with you.

Over the past 3 weeks I've been committed to a daily skin routine with the Midas Touch from Sassou.

With over 50 years experience in developing effective skincare formulations that merge traditional Japanese practices with cutting edge technological innovations, SASSOU JAPAN pioneers the use and application of natural plant extracts and premium 24k gold leaf. Establishing an international cult
following, including a global celebrity clientele, SASSOU JAPAN fights skin ageing on a cellular level and actively addresses concerns relating to dark spots, dull skin tone, fine lines, wrinkles, dehydration and environmental pollution. Nourishing and suitable for daily use, SASSOU JAPAN is a luxurious skincare solution for the mind, body and soul.

Now reading that you might be a little confused - gold and plant extracts? I myself never even contemplated the mixture of these elements in skincare, but anti products really do live up to the hype!

The daily routine is simple and such a pleasure to carry out with a focus helping make your skin it the best it can be.

I've focused on 4 products from the ideal for all skin types and complexions -  Goldwaver Collection which includes the Gold Beauty Cleansing Bar (100g), Gold Shimmering Essence Toner (50ml), Angel’s Dew Divine Moist (60ml), and Gold Eye Shiteru(15g).

Here is a little snippet of from the actually collection description.

Each piece contains Japanese-sourced 24K gold and is proven to revitalise dormant skin tissues and awaken weakened structures in the skin. Combining antioxidant-rich flower and algae extracts with the anti-inflammatory and hydrating benefits of honey, the Goldwaver collection adjusts the skin’ natural 28-day renewal cycle by balancing excess sebum production, detoxifying and refining pores, enhancing skin translucency and elasticity, restoring moisture, and creating a protective luminous barrier from environmental stressors.

I noticed the affects instantly. Imagine the most soft and silk smooth skin - that perfect base for applying makeup while feeling fresh and fantastic. That's the instant feeling you get when you use this collection.

The beauty bar arrives with a unique netted creation almost like a flat loofah. Merely wetting this and gliding it over the bargivesyou the right amount of product and you can lather up the product into a super foam for 20 seconds. I can't get enough of foam face washes, so this is my idea way to clean day and night.

Thennext step is to add a pump(I've found that one gives lots of product.) of the toner and evenly apply all over the face and neck.Thenrepeat this step with the Angel's Dew. These two itemscombinedgive your flawlessly smooth skin from the moment they absorbed - almost like the perfect primer.

The last step is to massage a moderate amount with finger tips in circles around the eyes for 1 to 2 minutes for the gel to be fully absorbed. Keep the tight-lid jar in the fridge to enhance soothing properties. The coolness smooths the soft skin around your eyes and feels like heaven.

Repeat this day and night and within a week you begin to seeresults. All those little things that bug you about your skin become less apparent.Iannoymyhusband constantly and make him touchmyskin after Iapply these products as the softness needs to be shared.

So if you are looking to invest in a trulyamazing set of anti aging products that really work this collectionis a musthave. You can snap up the Goldwaver Collection and more pieces via their Australian website.

Have you tried any of the plus sizes verses the top end of the standard selection at Voodoo Vixen yet? Neither had I and I've been wondering which is a better fit for my curves to months now. So with my favourite prints and styles in mind I've tested some amazing items in both the XXL and the 1XL. Each fit varies so knowing the fabric and the construction of each garment helps you get the perfect size.

Oh Dana! This amazing tropical cherry and pinapple print dress is a summer swing dream!! Featuring a soft tropical print of some seriously yummy looking summer snacks on a cream base.

The Dana dress has a wide v neckline which works perfectly for ample busts and the bow tie feature really makes the bustline pop. The darts and fabric can also accommodate both large and small chest sizes so no matter what your shape you'll look amazing.

Fitted at the waist with a full swing skirt and hidden pockets this frock has me wanting to jump on a plane and head to pool size bar over the pond. I'm wearing a 1XL and I actually find this dress roomy at the waist and a little at the bust.

I've been testing the 1XL in the curve section and the XXL in the standard section and I think I'm actually suited to the XXL fit wise. For this review I've actually tested both of these sizes in a variety of garments and the fit will be slightly different as the 1XL has a few more inches according to the size chart.

If you are looking for that perfect summer dress for festivals or just nights out the Veronica is a stunning little number full colour with a ruffle and the pom-pom trim. The bright primary colours of each pompom stand so boldly on the black fabric and the pleated bust fits the twins like a  dream.

The defined waist was the first thing I noticed fit wise about this garment as it has a sheering panel at the back so it hug our curves and create a super small waistline. The size zip is always a brilliant features as I hate having a bulk zip at the back.

For this style I'm wearing the XXL and the fit is amazing. That sheering panel is what makes this dress a perfect fit and I have never felt more amazing than when I'm wearing the Veronica. This style is obviously a customer favourite as genius's at Voodoo Vixen have released a red with black pompom version and for all you romper lovers you can get both colour ways in adorable playsuits! All three are on my lust list. Pairing this with a red bolero makes this dress perfect for Spring!

From tropical prints and pom poms to retro vegas prints! The Pippa Vegas is a black based flared skirt with a iconic retro Las Vegas images print. The perfect piece to add to your collection of separates for day or night wear as it's so comfortable and cute.

With a hidden zipper and side pockets you have enough room to hide your phone and all your goodies. There is nothing better than extra deep pockets as I tend to get grumpy with handbag and love being able to fit all my essentials in my outfit.

I'm wearing this style in a 1XL and It's actually too big. The waist is very loose and the extra stretch means I find it looser than I'd like it to be. So next time I'll be sure to size down to the XXL.

For this look I wanted to go for a slight pattern clash so I paired the Pippa skirt with the Rose Cardigan. This combo turned out to be perfect and I just love how the smaller print of roses really compliments the more bold Vegas images all over the skirt. I wear this cardigan in a XXL and the fit rocks my socks off. I've paired this cardigan with pretty much every dress or top in my wardrobe as it's so very versatile.

Voodoo Vixen always rock an amazing knit and I can't wait to get my hands on even more next season. I've been lusting after their sweaters for a while now so fingers crossed I can review them and help other busy girls.

Many thanks to the always brilliant and fun Liz Flemming for snapping these with me on a morning when we work too early but got to meet and see lots of puppers and cats so it worked out well!

Sourpuss have done it once again and blown my socks off! With amazing cardigans, super funky prints, the best accessories and my first ever battle jacket. Mixing all things spooky with some retro 3D realness and a bold green zebra print.

Skater dress are a curvy girls dream. They fit and flare out over your hips and really highlight all your best bits. The Sourpuss skaters are super stretchy, soft and just a joy to wear, so once you get one you'll be back ordering each and every print.

I'm wearing the vintage Halloween mask printed skater in a size 2XL and the fit is spot on. It stretches to fit your curves and really compliments the small of your waist.

The long sleeves and amazingly detailed print make this one of my all time favourite skaters and I need to snap up a spooky kitty print very soon. However if you are busty you can split the print a little on the bust. Because of the white back on the fabric any stretch can lighten that specific area. I wear a black bra beneath to help with that so order your true size so you don't run into this issue. If the bust section was lined it would fix this issue for the super busty girls out there.

Another amazing cropped SP cardigan to add to my collection! I feel in love with the retro X-ray glasses pin last year and wear it on my moto constantly. So when I noticed that they had embroided my favourite pin on a soft cotton cardigan I nearly lost my mind.

You can do no wrong with a Sourpuss cardigan. They are the perfect medium weight for all year round wear and look amazing when paired with pretty much anything. They fit true to size and have enough stretch so you can wear them buttoned up or left open. What I love about this X-Ray cardigan other than those embroided glasses has to be the bold red buttons. They add the perfect extra pop of colour and really stand out.

I'm wearing the 2XL and the fit is great due to the super stretchy fabric.

When you have an X-ray cardigan you have to snap up the same image printed all over a dress yes? This dress is so very out of my comfort zone and I will admit I wasn't sure I could really rock this until the moment I tried it on.
Made from an almost scuba fabric this skater style is figure flattering and really unique. The black mesh panel really pops and shoes just the right amount of skin. Pair this piece with the matching cardigan or wear it on it's own.

The 2XL is actually a little roomy in this style so I'd be keen to try an XL and see if the fit is better.

The 2XL is actually a little roomy in this style so I'd be keen to try an XL and see if the fit is better

Stripes and skeletons - oh my!

The dancing skeletons is scoop dress is a summer favourite with the bold nautical stripe and flowing skeley skirt. No need for waist belts or accessories as this dress is a little stunner all on it's own. The fit on this dress is actually firm but really accommodating as two completely different fabrics combine to create this one look.

The top half is a stretchy soft cotton and the skirt a super lightweight polyester. This makes it perfect for hot Aussie summers. Again another great 2XL fit. I was worried that the stripe might add bulk to my frame but I think the scoop neck breaks that up.

This style is such a joy to wear and I'd love to see other colour stripes in later collections. I'd wear these all summer long in green or red stripes!

I've owned many cropped cardigans, jumpers and moto jackets but I've oddly enough never purchased a vest. I've always worried I'd look to bulky or broad but with the SP Essential vest all of those fears disappeared. This vest is very lightweight so it does not square up your torso and due to the copious amounts of stretch it hugs your curves.

As you can see this style hits me right at the waist and it really does create that perfect hour glass shape. I can't wait to add a back patch and lots of pins. The green zebra print takes me straight back to my Psychobilly days and I think I may need this in purple and leopard.

You can pair this piece with tees, tank, crops and scoop necked blouses. It also looks great with layered with skater or swing dresses in solid black or complimentary prints.

What do you pair your vest with? ALL THE PINS! Switchblades and kreepy mottos from Kustom Kreeps which is actually the male section of Sourpuss - I adore their raglans and pins as they are unisex.

Then a few pieces from the mainline - Classy and Trashy because lets face it that's me to a Tee and a cute little bat boon pin. It's clear now that I must order ever single pin and vest from Sourpuss and live in them. I'm such a sucker for a bright cheeky enamel pin.

The Perfect Skirt Search

Last month I put the call out for any advice on where to find the best skater style skirt. So many of my awesome followers jumped on board and gave me lots of links but the one brand that stood out the most was Blackmilk.

The BlackMilk skater skirt has always been for girls around the globe but if you are a little bigger in the booty like myself you might have noticed they are way too short for your shape.

Never fear as they have recently released a new version which is a little bit longer than the previous skater skirts. Offering extra coverage and the perfect length that hits just above your knees.  I personally found the new length absolutely amazing for my shape as with a big booty comes some curvy AF hips.

I'm wearing the XL and I find the fit of all of the BM items to be perfection on my body. The fabrics offer lots of stretchy and are super soft to the touch. As you can see in these images the skater style skims my hips and really flatters my curves in the best possible way. The lack of zips and amount of stretch means you can wear this size up to a size 20 if not higher. I'm a 18 and sometimes at 16 but this is so comfy on me.

I never thought I'd find the perfect skater skirt on my first try but this style has won! Bonus points for the addition of pockets!

For this review/shoot I wanted some creepy Halloween vibes so I've paired this with my amazing Vixen by Micheline Pitt Dracula top and a Hips and Curves Harness. I love the simple yet strong look of this complete outfit.  I also own the Classier Act Midi Skirt which is very much like this but hits under the knee. Both are perfect!

While this may not be officially a skirt I actually classify this style as my dream skirt as it offers a braces feel without all the chunky metal clasps.

Show Us Your tops is appropriately named because you can style this frock with any of your own bodysuits or tops. Made of a stunning stretch velvet that feels so dreamy and in the perfect midi length. I must admit I'm such a sucker for a midi skirt as they show just the right amount of leg and can be styled up or down with ease.

For all BM items I wear an XL and the fit on this specific style really hugs my curves. The waist and open bust bring the focus to your mid section and amplify the hour glass shape. The straps are also able to be worn slightly covering the bottom of your cup or even lower depending on which you fine more flattering. Both of these items have been in high rotation in my wardrobe as they are so versatile. I wear off the shoulder peasant blouses, bold stripes and many stunning tops with this dress every week. Now I hope a matte midi version is released in the future as I'll be needing it for summer.

I've paired this open bust skirt with one of my new favourite blouses the Gone Batty Flouncy top. This piece feature a neck bow, full-coverage length and OTT-flouncy cap sleeves. I tend to worry in a printed fabric that my bust might morph the image but this top pairs perfectly with a big bust! The bow tie is super sweet, the peekaboo neckline shows that little big of cleavage and the sleeves - the perfect length to hide any upper arm issues.

What I love most about this dark, creepy and vintage bat print is the biggest and most bold bat's placement right at the bust - it's brilliant! The fit of this top is so amazing you'll want it in 100 different prints and colours.

After testing these pieces I can officially say I'm sold and I've found my absolute favourite skater styles in both short and midi. I can't wait to get my hands on more and review them!

Many thanks to the AMAZING Brooke Orchard for working her magic with me on these looks.
